We can also design systems for education and healthcare facilities. Most of the systems we install use one of the following cooling technologies.

Portable systems – These low-cost units are easy to install which makes them the ideal temporary cooling solution. A range of systems sizes can be specified capable of cooling rooms up to 500 Sq Ft. The downside to portable units is that they require an outside window for ventilation and they are not as efficient as split systems.

Split systems – This type of system is very popular in the UK because they provide efficient cooling at a relatively low cost. Split systems consist of two components, an outside compressor and an interior cassette. The downside to this type of system is that they can only be used to cool a single room at once.

Multi-split systems – These units are similar to split systems but they have larger outside compressors which allow multiple cassettes to be connected. This makes the system more efficient and allows multiple rooms to be cooled at once. Multi-split systems can be scaled to cool almost any size of building from a private home to a large office building.

Ducted systems – This type of system consists of a large self-contained chiller which sits outside and feeds chilled air throughout the building through ducts. This type of system is the most efficient way of cooling a large building. The downside is that it is difficult to control individual room temperatures and space is required for the ducting.
